Mission & Goals

Urban Farm Hawaii creates opportunities for social and ecological interaction through civic agriculture in Honolulu's urban core by:

  • Increasing public access green space
  • Increasing food access and production
  • Providing education and training about food and agriculture

Urban Farm Hawaii is an nonprofit hui of three UH Manoa agriculture and urban planning graduates. Our goal is to create opportunities for social and ecological interaction through agriculture; reconnecting people with food and one another. Through re-purposing areas of land in the urban core, providing horticulture workshops and offering space for public and private production to increase local food production we're growing aloha. Wherever there is sun, soil, and a source of water we want to farm it! If you have a space in the Kaka'ako area (for now) that you would like to re-purpose and let us grow food please email us.

Supporting all community members to tend and reap.

Providing collaborative opportunities to change our cityscape through agriculture.

Developing technology and relationships to help urban growers access land.
